On the occasion of World Hindi Diwas today, Rajbhasha mukhyalay held a day-long rajbhasha sammelan at Keshav Malviya Petroleum Exploration Institute of ONGC in Dehradun here today. A large number of Hindi littérateurs from Delhi, authors and poets had gathered to participate in the function.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Following it was the welcoming of the guests and felicitation ceremony of the littérateurs. Later, at a symposium conducted by the ONGC, writers recited poems written by the poet and paid tributes by celebrating Hindi Diwas on the occasion.
The participants appreciated the efforts of the ONGC in preserving the world class Indian heritage of Hindi poems and writings through the celebration of the day and demanded that such an event should be promoted among students so that children could learn from the richness of the language used by the poet.
