Geeta Dutt stands first in debate competition

Dehradun, February 25
Geeta Dutt bagged the first position in debate competition held on the second day of students’ union week of DAV PG College here today.

The topics for the competition were “Higher Education,” “The Internal Security of India” and “The Increasing Corruption in India.”
A large number of students expressed their views on the issues. All participants enthusiastically participated and spoke for and against the given topics.
The audiences were enthralled by the verve, wit and vivacity of the participants. College Principal Devender Bhasin and other eminent guests also appreciated the efforts of the students. In the speech competition, Manisha stood second while Dhwajveer Singh and Raj Bharti were collectively declared third.
Along with teachers and students of the college, Dr Satyam Dwivedi and Dr Hariom Singh as judges were also present during the occasion. The competition was adjudged on the basis of memory, speech delivery, clarity, presentation and expression.
