The first session of the Uttarakhand Assembly for this year will begin on March 26 with the newly sworn-in Chief Minister, Vijay Bahaguna, proving his majority on the floor of the House on March 27.

The vote on account budget will be presented on March 29. During the session, the swearing-in ceremony of MLAs will also take place. The five-day Assembly session will end on March 30.
On March 15, Governor Margaret Alva will administer the oath of office to Dr Shailender Mohan Singhal as Speaker pro tem.
